Council met on September 16, 2022 in a hybrid environment where they discussed the College’s Strategic and Implementation Plan, as well as Council elections. Council approved several key items, detailed below:
QA Program – Practice Evaluations
Council approved the College’s use of the IGOEE OSCE, OEBC OSCE, and NBEO Part III CSE (or any future practical exam that replaces the CSE) to serve as the College’s Practice Evaluation component.
OPR Updates
Council approved an amendment to the section 6.1 of the OPR regarding anterior segment examinations, and approved changes to the OPR Section Emergency and Intra-Professional Care to address transfer of care. These changes will affect Sections 4.2, 4.5, 4.8, and 6.8 of the OPR.
Finance Policies
Two Finance policies were approved by Council regarding budgeting and the procurement of goods and services.
