The terms “member” and “registrant” are used interchangeably throughout our website. These two terms share the definition of “member” found in the Optometry Act, 1991 and the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, and all related regulations. We use both terms to maintain consistency with other health profession regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, and in anticipation of regulatory modernization.
