Whether you’re a new applicant or a current applicant, you can use our Online Portal to start or continue your application. Stay up to date by tracking the status of your application and supporting documents in real time. Upload your documents quickly and easily; documents are reviewed within 5 business days.
Pay Fees Securely
Use the portal to pay your application and registration fees, view your invoices, and print receipts for your records or tax purposes.
Manage Your Account
Easily update your personal and registration information anytime through the portal. If you legally changed your name while you are an applicant, you must notify the College immediately via email and submit proof of a notarized document of your name change or marriage license. If your contact information (email address, telephone number, home address, etc.) has changed, you must also notify the College through your portal. The College communicates application and exam information via email, please ensure your email is correct when applying. Please report any changes by sending an email to Registration or through your application portal.
Returning to the Application Portal
You can return to the portal by clicking the “Applicant Portal” button and selecting “Continue Applications”. You can also use the Member Login button that is available in the header of the College’s website.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply via the online portal, you must meet the following criteria:
- You are a graduate of an accredited optometry school, international optometric graduate, or optometrists in good standing licensed to practise in other Canadian provinces/territories (Labour Mobility), and planning to apply for the General Certificate of Registration or an Academic Certificate ofRegistration, and would like not to practise in Ontario by applying for an Inactive Certificate of Registration.
- You are able to make online payments. College fees are non-refundable.
