Duty to Report a Child in Need of Protection

As per the Youth, Child and Family Services Act, 2017, any person who performs professional or official duties with respect to children and has reasonable grounds to suspect harm is being inflicted on a child (including physical and emotional harm, neglect, sexual abuse, among others) has a duty to report their suspicion and an ongoing duty to report even when previous reports have been made.
